Sculptures in the circular Garden of Bret
On July 12, the sculpture garden of Bret opens its doors. Willem Harbers and Karin Dekker show their work at the first Amsterdam circular business park, next to Station Sloterdijk.
The sculpture garden opens while the garden is at its best – the green vineyard contrasts with the red pavilions of maritime containers. The work of Harbers and Dekker, industrial forms in natural materials and red steel, underline the contrast between man and nature. The exhibition gives rise to opening the gates of the garden for the first inhabitants of Sloterdijk, tourists, students and people working in the surrounding commercial buildings. Here visitors can be inspired by the sculptures and the garden itself – a place for creativity and innovation in the midst of metropolitan hectic. Local people can read a book on the square. At picnic tables visitors can spend their lunch break.

* About the Garden of Bret *
The BRET Garden is the place where a group of entrepreneurs realize their dream. Each from a different background and from a different field but with the same goal: to create their own, inspiring place that has the least possible impact on the environment but gives the maximum possible impetus to the environment.
The Bret Garden is the example of the new economy; not driven by money but a passion to realize beautiful, high-quality and sustainable things. An inspiration for others with which they show that everyone can change the world around them.
